Henry Hazlitt Center Rules

Course Assignment

  • Students must enroll for Henry Hazlitt Center courses through their academic unit.
  • There are specific dates for the enrollment and withdrawal from courses. Students are responsible for requesting this information from their academic unit.
  • Henry Hazlitt Center does not carry out the enrollment or withdrawal from courses. Both processes must be initiated by students through their corresponding academic unit.

Section Change

  • If the student wishes to change section, they must request to do so within the first two weeks of class.
  • Section changes are subject to place availability.
  • No changes can be made if the schedule of the requested section clashes other courses.
  • To change section, students must send a request by email to chh@ufm.edu.

Lectures

Reserve your Place

  • Book through MiU portal.
  • If you want to cancel your reservation, you must do so through MiU, at least two hours before the conference starts. If not, it will be considered as an absence and you will be penalized.

Waiting List

  • If there are no places available when you access MiU, you must go to the lecture venue 30 minutes before it is due to start to be put on the waiting list.
  • Admission will depend on availability of places.

Penalizations

  • If you fail to cancel two lecture reservations, participation in a lecture that you have attended will be voided.

During the Lecture

  • Turn off your cell phone or activate silent mode.
  • Places cannot be held for other people.
  • Do not interrupt others during the lecture. If that happens, you will be asked to leave the auditorium and your attendance will be voided.
  • At the end of the lecture, you must check out with your student ID.

Submission of Lecture Summaries

  • You must present your summary to your assistant professor.

Exams

Extraordinary Exams and Evaluation Tests

X.2 The respective dean or director may authorize an extraordinary final exam in the event that a student does not take the ordinary exam for a justifiable cause, during a period not exceeding six months from the date of the same. Students must make a request in writing and have to have the recommendation of their professor. Likewise, the exam must be paid for beforehand.
